Here in North Dakota, the snow is FINALLY starting to melt!
It wasn’t until this past week when the temperatures managed to push above the freezing mark.
For many reasons, this winter was a LONG one.
My son and I went out the other day and walked down our road (open country) – two miles one way and two miles back. It was glorious! We’ve been so cooped up indoors for months.
Never knew what a chatty-patty my son was! 😉
Anyhoo, now that we’re nearing the end of March, I’m beginning to look ahead as to what April might bring.
This year, I plan to write poetry throughout the month.
With all the pain and chaos recently, I feel the need to express my thoughts and emotions that I can only do through writing poems.
Poetry is emotion, passion, love, grief – everything that is human. It is not for zombies by zombies.– F. Sionil Jose
Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.– Robert Frost
There are times in my life where writing poetry is the only way I can digest the emotions and thoughts that are going through me.
April is known to many as the NaPoWriMo (aka National Poetry Writing Month). I may not write one new poem each day, but I will be writing lots of poems.
What are your writing plans for April?
